Create and edit photo album

To create new photo album, tap the left most button on the bottom tool bar and to edit information of the selected photo album, tap the next button.
You can edit "Title", "Description" and "Visiblity" of the album.

To save the edited album, tap the right button on the top tool bar.

Send blog article, video and photo

To send blog article, video and phot via email, tap "Actions" button on the top tool bar and select "Share via Mail".
All service modules (Blogger, YouTube and Picasa) have "Actions" button on their item display panel.

The screen shot bellow shows how the "Actions" items are displayed.



Selecting "Share via Mail", the mail composition panel will appear. Blogger module pops up the composition panel with the selected blog article content, YouTube module pops up the panel with the selected video embedded and Picasa module pops up with the selected photo or the URL of the photo.
In Picasa module, if your choice is "Attach URL" on "User Settings" panel, the URL of the selected photo will be attached, otherwise the selected photo itself will be attached.

Tweet blog article, video and photo

To send tweet of blog article, video and phot via email, tap "Actions" button on the top tool bar and select "Share on Twitter".
All service modules (Blogger, YouTube and Picasa) have "Actions" button on their item display panel.

The screen shot bellow shows how the "Actions" items are displayed.



Just entering tweet message then tapping "Tweet" button on the left of the top tool bar, the tweet will be sent to your timeline of Twitter.



You may want to choose Twitter account before sending tweet. You can select your Twitter account by tapping "Account" button on the top tool bar (which shows current selected Twitter account).
The twitter accounts are setup on "User Settings" panel. See "Initial setup - Twitter account" for more detail.



In Blogger and YouTube modules, the URL of the article or video will be inserted into tweet message automatically after the URL Shorten service shorten the URL. In Picasa module, the URL of photo will be inserted into tweet message if you choose "Attach URL" in the section of "Piacasa - Mail&Tweet Attachment" on "User Settings". If you choose "Attach Photo", the photo will be uploaded to Image Service then tweet will be sent.

Subscribe and unsubscribe channel

To subscribe an user's YouTube channel, tap "Star" button on the bottom tool bar and select "Subscribe channel". This action sends subscription request to YouTube service then added the channel to your Subscriptions.
When the channel already subscribed, YouTube service will return subscription error.



To unsubscribe a channel, swipe the channel on the subscription list on the left panel. The action shows "Delete" button on the cell of the list.

Add video to favorites

To add an user's YouTube video to your favorites, tap "Star" button on the bottom tool bar and select "Add to favorites".
When the video already is in your favorites, YouTube service will return error.



To remove a video from your favorites, swipe the the video on the favorites list. The action shows "Delete" button on the cell of the list.

Edit video information

To edit video information, tap "Edit" button on the tool bar of the video display panel. It will show up editing panel.
You can edit "Title", "Description", "Tags" , "Category" and "Privacy" of the video.
If you set the privacy to "Private", the video will not be able to seen from other users and not be playable on glogr.

Insert video and photo into blog article

To insert video or photo scrap from scrapbook, you may tap "Scrapbook" button on the edit tool bar.
The screen shot below shows how it looks like. The popped up view of scrapbook is called "Scrapbook Browser".
The selected scrap will inserted into the article body text at the cursor position.



To add video or photo to scrapbook, refer to "Add video and photo to scrapbook".
To remove scrap in Scrapbook, swipe the scrap you want to remove. Scrapbook Browser will shows "Delete" button.

To add video or photo to scrapbook, tap "Actions" button then select "Transfer to Blog".



The scraps in scrapbook can be removed on "Scrapbook Browser". As to "Scrapbook Browser", refer to "Insert video and photo into blog article".

Editing photo information

Tapping a photo will pop up the editing photo information panel. You may edit "Title", "Description" and "Location" of the selected photo.

The "Current Location" button at the top-left corner of map view will navigate you to your current location. This functionality is usable when you make your location service enabled.
To add location to the photo, tap "Red Pin" button at the top-right corner of map view. The action will add location pin onto the center of the shown map. You can drag the pin to move the location.



To remove the location, go to Picasa Web Album using Web browser and remove the geo information. The current version of glogr does not support removing geo information.

Downloading photo from Picasa Web Album

To download photo from Picasa Web Album, tap "Download" button on the top tool bar then tap "Download photo".
The photo will be downloaded and saved onto your iPad.

Uploading photo to Picasa Web Album

You can upload photos from your iPad photos onto Picasa Web Album.
To do so, tap "Upload" button on the bottom toolbar (3rd button from left) then select a photo you want to upload.
The action will show up "Upload panal".



You can edit "Title" and "Description" , resize photo and change orientation here.
The default upload size is set on "User Settings". For the default upload size setting, refer to "Optional setup".




To upload the photo, after editing the property of the photo, tap "Upload" button on the top tool bar.

Browsing Picasa Web Album photos

The top view of Picasa module is a photo browser. It initially shows your photo albums of the currently selected Google account.
To view photos belong to an album, tap album thumbnail.
The screen shot below shows photos in a selected album.



You can view another user's public album by picking the user's gmail address or entering the user's gmail address into search field on the top tool bar.
If you want to pick the user's gmail address, tap the "Addressbook" button on the top tool bar. It will show up "Addressbook Browser".

The screen shot below shows how Addressbook Browser look like.
On Addressbook Browser, you can select only gmail address.



After selecting another user's gmail address, Picasa module will show the album list of the user.
You can't edit album and photo information, and upload photo in case of another user's albums are displayed.

Browsing YouTube videos

You can browse your uploads, favorites and subscriptions and other users's uploads, favorites and subscriptions.
Your videos are initially shown.

To watch video, you may just select a video on the lists.



If you want to watch another user's videos, you can do that by picking the user's gmail address or entering the user's YouTube name into search field on the top tool bar.
If you want to pick the user's gmail address, tap the "Addressbook" button at the right of the top tool bar. It will show up "Addressbook Browser". For Addressbook Browser, refer to "Browsing Picasa Web Album photos".

Optional user settings

Google account setup is MUST and Twitter account setup is must if you use Twitter from glogr.

Twitter

• Image Size - default image size attached to tweet.
• URL Shorten Service - URL of blog article and YouTube video URL will be shortened automatically.
• Image Service - attached image will be uploaded to selected Image Service.

Mail

• Attached Image Size - default image size attached to mail.

Blogger

• Size of inserted scap (Photo / Video) - you can insert selected scrap of photo from Picasa Web Album or video from YouTube into your blog article.

Picasa

• Upload Size - default upload image size.
• Mail&Tweet Attachment - determine whether you want to attach URL only or photo to mail and tweet.

Feedback

• Help improve the product / send feature request - Tapping “Send feedback” button will show up mail composition panel with error log file attached. The error log doesn't contain your privacy information so please don't worry about it.
• Error log - Tapping “Clear error log” button will clear error log.

Initial setup - Twitter Account setting

If you want to share you blog article, videos and photos on Twitter, you may want to setup Twitter accounts on glogr. To setup your Twitter accounts, tap the line labeled “Account” of “Twitter section” at “User Settings” panel then dispay “Twitter Account” panel. You can add your Twitter account by tapping plus (+) button at the right of toolbar.
Of course, you can add as many account as you like here.

If you want to modify the accounts, select the account you want to modify and tap “Edit” button.
If you want to delete an account, swipe the table cell of the account. “Delete” button will be shown at the right side of the cell.
When you tap plus (+) button or select a Twitter account, you will be navigated to “Edit Twitter account” panel.



At “Edit Twitter account” panel, enter “Twitter User name” and “Password”. Don’t forget to Authenticate the user name at Twitter by tapping “Authenticate” button. The screen shot shows “Clear Authentication” and “Re Authenticate” buttons because the account shown has been already authenticated at Twitter. When you are editing new account, “Clear Authentication” is hidden and the label of “Re Authenticate” button would be “Authenticate”.

When you tap “Authenticate” button, “Twitter Info” panel will be shown up. The panel’s content are from Twitter web site, and it prompts you to log into Twitter with your Twitter account and “Accept” or “Deny” glogr application to access your Twitter account.

If you want to tweet onto your Twitter timeline from glogr, you need to accept glogr here. If the authentication was successfully performed, you would see your Twitter timeline.

If you denied glogr to access your Twitter account, or authentication was failed on Twitter, you will see the error page.

If you continue to Twitter on glogr, you need to check and modify your Twitter account at “Edit Twitter panel” then try to authenticate again.

To add your account, select Google Account list. (See the screenshot where “love2nippon@gmail.com” is shown)

You can add your Google account by tapping plus (+) button at the right of toolbar.
Of course, you can add as many account as you like here.

If you want to modify the accounts, select the account you want to modify and tap “Edit” button.
If you want to delete an account, swipe the table cell of the account. “Delete” button will be shown at the right side of the cell.

To use glogr, at least one Google account is required. “User name” and “Password” fields are required field. If you want to access to YouTube, you need to enter “YouTube User name” and “YouTube Password”. If you log into YouTube via Google account, you don’t need to enter “YouTube password” but must enter “YouTube User name” and turn on “Login YouTube with Google account” switch.

Requirements

glogr utilizes Google services, so you must have internet connection. If you want to access a lot of videos and photos, WiFi connection might be preferrable and you need to have followings;

1. Google (Gmail) account MUST - blogr logs into Google cloud services by your Google account at launch time. So you must have Google account and properly setup your account at “User Settings” panel.
2. At least 1 (one) blog MUST - blogr doesn't support creating/deleting blog of Blogger account. You can post/edit/delete articles but create/edit/delete blogs. If you don't have blogs of your Blogger account, blogr will show nothing in Blogger module. To use glogr, you need to activate Blogger account and create blog on it.
3. YouTube account Optional - If you want to access YouTube from glogr, you must have YouTube account activated. You can log into YouTube by Google account or YouTube account but you need to activate the account. If you don’t have one, please visit YouTube web site at http://www.youtube.com.
4. Picasa Web Album account Optional - If you want to access Picasa Web Album from glogr, you must activate Picasa account. If you’ve not activated the account, please visit Picasa Web Album at http://picasaweb.google.com.
5. Twitter account Optional - If you want to tweet blog/video/photo, you must have Twitter account.
6. HTML editing skills Optional - If you write nice blog article on blogr, it is preferrable to have knowledge about HTML.

Writing new blog article using wizard

If you work with Blogger, tap “Blog” on tab bar at the bottom of screen then show Blogger panel. (Note: You can’t add/delete blog from glogr, so if you want to add / delete blog, you need to log into Blogger with some Web browser.)
To write new article, select the blog you want to post the article the tap plus (+) button. It will show up two choices. If you want to write new article using wizard (template generator), tap "Create using wizard".

The wizard has 3 or 4 steps to create article depends on article layout.
At first, you choose layout of the article.

If you choose "Text only" layout at the left most layout of upper row, the "Compose" panel will be shown up.
In this help, we choose "One image at the top left" layout, so second step will be "Embed".
On the "Embed" panel, you pick video or photo scrap from scrapbook and preview the layout with sample text.


Third step is "Compose". (When you selected "Text only" layout, this is second step)
The "Compose" step shows one or two text area(s) depends on the selected layout.
You may enter article body text here.


The final step of the wizard is "Preview".
You may confirm how your new article look here and if you are not comfortable with it, you can back to previous step and edit text again.


To post your new article, tap "Done" button then edit the article created by the wizard on editing panel.

To write new article, select the blog you want to post the article the tap plus (+) button. It will show up two choices. If you want to write new article from scratch, tap "New Post".


Enter "Title" of the article, the text of the article then tap "Save" button at the right side of tool bar. If you want to add tags, you may enter tags separated by comma (,).
